Standard Chart Ratios (SCR)

New releases will have a streaming-to-sales ratio of:

100 premium streams = 1 unit

600 free streams = 1 unit

Accelerated Chart Ratios (ACR)

After 3 consecutive weeks of decline* a stream-to-sale ratio of:

200 premium streams = 1 unit

1200 free streams = 1 unit

Album conversion
1 digital/physical sale = 1 unit
1000 streams = 1 unit

The two highest-streamed tracks from an album are adjusted to match the average streams of the next 14 tracks on the album. Only the top 16 track streams are taken into consideration.

Billboard

The Billboard Hot 100

Is the USA's leading singles chart, which ranks songs based on the number of equivalent units sold. These units are defined as sales and streams. The data considered includes:

- Digital sales (iTunes, store, and Amazon)
- Audio streams from services such as Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, YouTube Music, Deezer, and TIDAL
- Video streams from YouTube, including music videos and audio tracks
- Radio airplay, which is measured by the number of audience impressions

Premium streams carry more weight than free streams, so it's advisable to use premium services, including free trials, when possible.

The tracking week for sales and streaming is from Friday at 00:00 to Thursday at 23:59. Radio airplay is tracked from Monday to Sunday.

The chart is announced every Tuesday on billboard.com.

Billboard 200

The premier album chart in the USA is determined by the number of equivalent units sold, where 'units' refer to sales and streams. The data considered includes:
- Physical sales
- Digital sales through platforms like iTunes and Amazon.
- Audio streaming (Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, YouTube Music, Deezer, TIDAL)
- Video streams on YouTube, including music videos and audio tracks.

Important considerations:
1. An album's sale is equivalent to 1500 streams of its songs.
2. Ten digital song purchases equate to one album sale. It's crucial to consider the fanbases in the USA before employing this method.

The tracking period for chart rankings runs weekly from Friday at 00:00 to Thursday at 23:59.

The chart is officially announced every Tuesday on billboard.com.
